We like to thank the people of Nyati for the wonderful trip we have made in their country. The programme was varied and highly interesting. We stayed at some wonderful places, specific mention deserve Rhino Camp at Matusadona and Norma Jeane’s at Lake Mtirikwe. And we should mention our driver John, who became a real friend during our 2½ weeks together. Actually, we met friendly and supportive people throughout the country; quite a feat in view of the rather strenuous economic situation of Zimbabwe.
Not only did we visit the more famous highlights of the country (Parks and Wildlife, Victoria Falls), Nyati also showed us the roots. We visited an old township in Bulawayo, and we had a walk in a characteristic rural area. We observed the efforts made to save the rhino (unfortunately, here we could have wished for a more friendly guide).
All-in-all, unforgettable holidays that we like to repeat in a not too far future!
