Thank you Nyati Travel

We like to thank the people of Nyati for the wonderful trip we have made in their country. The programme was varied and highly interesting. We stayed at some wonderful places, specific mention deserve Rhino Camp at Matusadona and Norma Jeane’s at Lake Mtirikwe. And we should mention our driver John, who became a real friend during our 2½ weeks together. Actually, we met friendly and supportive people throughout the country; quite a feat in view of the rather strenuous economic situation of Zimbabwe.
Not only did we visit the more famous highlights of the country (Parks and Wildlife, Victoria Falls), Nyati also showed us the roots. We visited an old township in Bulawayo, and we had a walk in a characteristic rural area. We observed the efforts made to save the rhino (unfortunately, here we could have wished for a more friendly guide).

All-in-all, unforgettable holidays that we like to repeat in a not too far future!

Feed back on driver

I  recently hired Nyati travel in Harare from Dec29 2017 to Jan1, 2018 and had Herbert as our driver.

I’d like to provide some positive feedback on the level of service and professional service we received from Herbert. He is a top notch character and helped make our time in Harare special. He is an asset to your company and I will be sure to request to work with him when I return to Harare.

Keep well,

Rotary Club Dronten – The Netherlands
crineas driver guide for Nyati Travel

Nyati organized for us, a Dutch group of eight, four Rotarians and their spouses, a busy working holiday of eleven days. A primary school near Macheke was the original goal of our visit. After the third donation to the school we decided to visit the school. Friendly Bronte Hotel was our base in Harare. After a city tour through Harare, friendly Nyati driver Crinias (photo), drove us safely to the school. After a stay of two nights near the school we went via Murewa, where we visited the Districts Inspector of Education, back to Harare. After that our real holiday started. Flying to the Victoria Falls. The falls were gorgeous. The stay in the near Vic Falls Safari lodge is recommended. From there we went by private bus to the Botswanian border and stayed three nights in Kubu lodge. A relaxed place, from where we made two game drives and one boat cruise into the Chobe National Park. Chobe National Park near Kasane is fantastic and can compete for instance with the well known game parks in Kenya. Our trip was well organized by Nyati.

Miss University Zimbabwe – Ngoma Kurira Daytrip

l had an amazing day courtesy of a voucher extended Nyati Tours which will forever be a source of fond memories. The voucher was an awesome gift l got after winning Miss University of Zimbabwe 2015. Together with my friends, Nyati Travel took us to Ngoma Kurira which is in Domboshava, 40km from Harare with a cheerful and extremely assured driver, Mr Zambezi. Upon arrival, the activities that we had included mountain climbing, site seeing with impecable views, exploration of caves that uncovered Zimbabwes history as potrayed through rock art and paintings presumed to originate from the stone age era. Not only was this refreshing but it was an enlightening experience, particularly learning the history of Zimbabwe through the art and paintings in caves accompanied by detailed commentary by our guide, who was ever present to address our curiosity. And of course not forgetting the delicious food provided! Thank you Nyathi Tours for the memories.

Great day tour during a long layover in Harare

Nyati Travel driver John in Harare

Nyati Travel & Tours organized a lovely day tour for our family during a layover in Harare. Terence from Nyati proposed that we go to Chivero, which is a lake and small nature reserve close to Harare. Even though we had just come back from Mana Pools, we agree that Chivero was a good choice, as we saw loads of rhinos and quite a few other animals. Seeing the rhinos capped off a great safari in Zimbabwe. Our guide/driver for the day, John was fantastic and took good care of us. Everything was well planned and executed: from providing tour options over email at very short notice, to confirming with us by reaching out to the remote wilderness camp where we were staying in Mana Pools (we did not have access to phone signal there, but Nyati called the camp to confirm), and ultimately picking us up and dropping us back at the airport on time.

I highly recommend this company and will look forward to using their services when I am again in Zimbabwe.

13-Day Tour of Zimbabwe. A wonderful experience!

Mr Gombe a driver at Nyati Travel

Mr Gombe

My husband and I have just done this tour and we had a wonderful time. There were four in total in our group plus the driver, Mr Gombe. The itinerary was very good – we really enjoyed visiting the school at Old Mutare Mission, the gardens at Seldom Seen in the Bvumba (with the infectiously enthusiastic Bulawesi to guide us!), and the tour of Serengeti 5 organic farm and ecotourist facility. We also had a very interesting visit to a tobacco farm. Our tour then travelled across the country to take in Great Zimbabwe, Matobo and Hwange before ending at Vic Falls. We all felt that our driver, Mr Gombe, did a fantastic job if getting us from one stop to the next on time but very safely, and he was the perfect driver – kind, thoughtful, funny and very patient with the various foibles of four foreigners! He was a star! We recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the vitality and optimism of the Zimbabwean people, and the beautiful country as well.

Review on Nyati Travel

We started planning our 2015 journey in Zimbabwe and surrounding countries well ahead with Nyati Travel.

Zimbabwe is generally not regarded as a logic destination due to the reporting in the international media about the present state of affairs in the country. But we can wholeheartedly recommend all aspiring travellers to plan a longer stay in this fantastic nation. The natural beauty is unrivalled but above all, it is his population that makes an unforgettable impression: welcoming, open, communicative, helpful and with a extraordinary drive to make the best of it. We encountered no problem whatsoever, not from the authorities, let alone from the public. At the numerous police checkpoints we were consistently waved through. No attempts of theft or to fool us in any way, not in the cities or anywhere else.

About the service and assistance of Nyati’s partners Goof de Jong and André Bongers & staff, we can wholeheartedly recommend them. They had good suggestions for places to stay, they were fast and punctual in their follow-up of our numerous mails with extra requests and alterations of reservations in hotels and lodges.

Through Nyati we hired an extremely reliable and comfortable 1996 Nissan Patrol jeep that took us without any problems for 5100 kilometers through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Mozambique. Not even a puncture…

It was a pity they forgot to mention that it is now possible to buy multiple visas upon entry in Zimbabwe for Zambia, for example.

However, do seriously consider to book your next Southern African journey with this professional and friendly travel agency that throws it’s heart and soul into Zimbabwe and the travel business.

the trip went like clockwork!

Nyati Travel listened to what we wanted from our first ever trip to Zimbabwe, made some excellent suggestions and great choices on our behalf. The 17 day trip went like clockwork. The driver provided, Cranius, was thoughtful and careful, and tried to make happen whatever we wanted to do! Even visiting a coal mine!
We started at Vic Falls, went to Chobe, then on to Hwange (Sable Sands and elephant tracking with Roy Aylward – ask for him by name …..all superb), then to Matopos and rhino tracking with Andy , (again ask for him by name). Then on to Great Zimbabwe, and finally to HIFA in Harare.
Nyati even booked tickets for the festival as soon as the festival programme came out.
Zimbabwe leaves us full of smiles, sunshine, colour, gentleness, grace. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or concerned.
It’s not a cheap destination, but tourism brings jobs for local people and we were always made to feel welcome wherever we went. If you have the chance to visit, don’t let it pass you by!

Zimbabwe is worth to visit more than once.

Twice I‘ve traveled in Zimbabwe with strong support of Nyati Travel. The vast landscapes and national parks are great, in the rural villages you will experience an authentic African atmosphere, and the people are extremely friendly. Like no other Nyati Travel knows the country, and as nobody else Nyati’s mixed Dutch/Zimbabwean management (André Goof and Elisabeth) knows to make a connection between what Western tourists expect and what Zimbabwe has to offer. Zimbabwe has not yet been discovered (and affected) by mass tourism. Even in the touristhighlights (Matopos, Eastern Highlands, Chimanimani, Zimbabwe ruins, Hwange, Victoria Falls) it is quiet. After two visits for sure I will go toZimbabwe for a third time.

Firstly thank you so much for all your assistance during my City trip Harare and secondly to commend you for a very professional operation that you run.  At all times our driver/guide was on time, courteous and made us feel safe and welcome. Not knowing Harare at all we felt in very capable hands and knowing all our transfers had been taken care of by Nyati Tours was a very reassuring thought. I want to thank you for your professionalism, and reliable transfers offered to myself and 5 year old son.  I will highly recommend Nyati to friends and family
