New USA Flights Directive
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a security directive requiring passengers on select flights to the United States to place all electronic devices larger than a cellphone or smartphone in their checked luggage. The New USA Flights Directive requirement only applies to flights departing for the United States .
Large electronic devices will continue to be allowed in the cabin on all flights originating in the United States of America. The new security directive was effective from 21 March 2017 and will be in effect indefinitely.
