Travel back on the rise.
Revival of Domestic Tourism in Zimbabwe
The revival of domestic tourism in Zimbabwe hasn’t been all that easy in light of the pandemic that has gripped the globe. But, travel is opening up, and we’re excited to share some of the offers we’ve picked out for you.
Lodges all over the country have reopened, somewhat. Although not official, travel by road is allowed. You’ll have to observe curfew hours and make sure you’ve got all the necessary documents for your transport and accommodation at the ready.
Take a look at the tips below and let us know your thoughts. As a full-service travel and tour agency, we’re happy to fill in the blanks for you if you need any assistance – or tailor a few holiday packages (into and out of Zimbabwe!) to your specifics.
Well, just outside of Harare – about 1-hour drive. Chengeta and Pamuzinda Safari Lodges have great bang-for-your-buck rates, with free activities included. Fantastic experiences, that are accessible but still very much in nature – and won’t set your budget back to far.
Hippo Pools Wilderness Camp offers a range of options for every budget, including full-board or self-catering. The accommodation is very flexible too, with comfortable, lower-range to upper-range more luxurious options. It’s just 2 hours drive from Harare, which makes it even more off-radar.
If you’re a little closer to the Bulawayo region – or fancy taking a long drive – we’ve got you covered. Matobo Hills Lodge spots some brilliant rates right now.
As with most of these listings, it’s best to grab a booking and contact us as soon as possible, as offers/ specials may end soon.
Kariba Safari Lodge has some incredible rates, along with Rhino Safari Camp – weekend specials and activities.
Two beautiful lodges with ample opportunity to relax, view the wildlife and re-energize. Astonishing views, top-class meals and great activities.
Activities are so wide-ranged in fact, it earned Kariba a spot on our Top destinations in Zimbabwe article, under the Adventure section.
We’re confident in the revival of domestic tourism in Zimbabwe and are here to take you there.
