Revival of Domestic Tourism in Zimbabwe

Walking out of door with suitcase roller, intent on travelling

The revival of domestic tourism in Zimbabwe hasn’t been all that easy in light of the pandemic that has gripped the globe. But, travel is opening up, and we’re excited to share some of the offers we’ve picked out for you.

Lodges all over the country have reopened, somewhat. Although not official, travel by road is allowed. You’ll have to observe curfew hours and make sure you’ve got all the necessary documents for your transport and accommodation at the ready.

Take a look at the tips below and let us know your thoughts. As a full-service travel and tour agency, we’re happy to fill in the blanks for you if you need any assistance – or tailor a few holiday packages (into and out of Zimbabwe!) to your specifics.

Well, just outside of Harare – about 1-hour drive. Chengeta and Pamuzinda Safari Lodges have great bang-for-your-buck rates, with free activities included. Fantastic experiences, that are accessible but still very much in nature – and won’t set your budget back to far.

Shamva

Hippo Pools Wilderness Camp offers a range of options for every budget, including full-board or self-catering. The accommodation is very flexible too, with comfortable, lower-range to upper-range more luxurious options. It’s just 2 hours drive from Harare, which makes it even more off-radar.
